The Reiki Precepts
There are several versions of the Reiki Principles, but they all emphasize "just for today".
​When we focus on "just for today" it makes our day-to-day struggles easier.
The Five Reiki Principles

Embrace Balance, Mindfulness, and Wellbeing in Daily Life

The Five Reiki Principles are a cornerstone of Reiki philosophy, guiding practitioners and students toward harmony, clarity, and personal growth. Applying these principles daily helps cultivate a peaceful mind, balanced energy, and a compassionate approach to yourself and others.

1. Just for Today, I Will Not Be Angry Anger drains your energy and clouds your judgment. By consciously releasing resentment or frustration, you create space for calm and clarity in your daily interactions. 
Application: Pause, take a deep breath, and respond rather than react, whether at work or home.

2. Just for Today, I Will Not Worry Worry disrupts energy flow and can increase stress. Focusing on the present moment helps you maintain balance and trust in the natural rhythm of life.
Application: Use mindfulness or brief Reiki self-healing sessions to center yourself when challenges arise.

3. Just for Today, I Will Be Grateful Gratitude shifts your energy and awareness toward positivity, enhancing emotional wellbeing and connection.
Application: Reflect on three things you appreciate each morning, or express gratitude to those around you.

4. Just for Today, I Will Do My Work Honestly Honest, mindful action aligns your energy with integrity, fostering personal and professional balance.
Application: Approach tasks with full attention and sincerity, even in small daily routines.

5. Just for Today, I Will Be Kind to Every Living Thing Kindness toward yourself, others, and all living beings nourishes harmony and supports the flow of positive energy.
​Application: Practice gentle words, supportive actions, or Reiki energy for those in need including pets and plants.

Applying the Principles in Your Life
The Five Reiki Principles are more than guidance: they're a lifestyle. You can integrate them through daily mindfulness, Reiki self-healing, and intentional actions. Hands-on practice and workshops offer supportive ways to experience ​and embody these principles.
